French Tech Boston Officially Joins France's Dynamic Ecosystem & Receives the French Tech Label

PARIS, FRANCE, April 03, 2019 – FRENCH TECH BOSTON, a group of over 80 French entrepreneurs in tech startups with global or US headquarters in New England, has officially joined France’s dynamic ecosystem by receiving the French Tech mission label. This labeling was made official by French Minister for the Digital Economy, Cédric O and Director of La French Tech, Kat Borlongan, at Station F in Paris, at a time when French Tech is launching a second phase of support for startups and scale-ups and the international promotion of French-style “tech” culture.


In recent years the French startup ecosystem has shown remarkable dynamism, driven by a new generation of entrepreneurs, investors, engineers, designers and many other talented individuals

said Arnaud Mentré, the Consul General of the Consulate General of France in Boston. “The ecosystem of startups that has emerged right here in Boston is currently booming with the contribution of many French entrepreneurs who have settled here in the past 5 years. La French Tech Boston is an open door to help startups grow with the help of their community. A group where entrepreneurs are welcome to benefit from a network and visibility, with in mind a positive-sum result”.


Along with 48 international communities, French Tech Boston joins La French Tech, one of the largest networks of international innovation, with more than 10,000 startups worldwide.

Launched in 2018, the members of French Tech Boston collectively represent thousands of jobs in New England, and tens of thousands globally. These companies have raised over a billion dollars in 2018 to break new ground in Biotech, Medtech, Travel, Big Data, AI, Finance, Transportation, IoT, Marketing, Waste Management, HR, etc.

It also recognizes the amazing community of French entrepreneurs we have here in New England, creating jobs, raising millions of dollars and serving millions of customers in many industries including healthtech, travel, fintech, data management, customer relations, etc. “
